ED'S WOR(L)D

For thousands of kids it is back to school this month. Everybody is in a frenzy to tick off their "to buy" and "to do" lists, and one wonders how those relaxing summer days could possibly have evaporated so quickly!

For most of today's school children end of summer means no more easy-going fun for months to come. What are your children going to remember of their childhood when they are grown up? Chances are that exams and private lessons are high up on their list of memories, followed by stressed-out parents who were always catching up with one more thing that had to be done urgently. - Why don't you give it a try and leave the window-cleaning for tomorrow - or even the day after? The laundry will not get upset if you leave it for another day. Pack your kids into the car and drive down to Ramla. Now is the nicest time of the year, with the beaches emptying of the maddening August crowds! Take a blanket, some packed lunch, and enjoy! You'll be surprised how much good it will do - not only to the children, but to you too!

Well, and while the little ones are at school: what better way to enjoy the unaccustomed peace and quiet about the house than to sit down with a cuppa and browse through the new GOZO PLUS that made it into your home just in time? It is packed with information about things to do, get, and see in Gozo, in addition to an interesting mixture of other reading stuff, sometimes serious, sometimes tongue-in-cheek.

We bring you GOZO PLUS free of charge, and hope you'll like its contents. We would love to hear from you, and about your ideas how we can improve on it for your enjoyment!

We look forward to delivering the next issue to you in December!
